I ranked it in my top 5-6 films of the year and wish it would have gained more traction here. I went in without watching any previews and didn’t know Crowe was playing Goering and he absolutely blew me away. Was hoping he’d get some Oscar buzz but dosent look like he is. One of my favorite theatre experiences of the year going into that blind

You can purchase on Amazon or AppleTV. I tend to buy stuff on Amazon because I generate $10+ a month in digital credits by being willing to wait an extra two days for shite. I've bought it, but haven't watched it yet.

ETA: 20m in, Rami Malek was great casting. Adds bite to what could have been a stuffy proceeding, even with Crowe. Malek's clever manipulation of Crowe early on sold me it's going to be good.

Remi Malik was a poor casting choice.

Otherwise solid film.

I saw it and thought the same. But to be honest I think he isn't a good actor and thus a poor choice for virtually any role.

He did well as Freddy Mercury. That’s really all he’s got.

I thought it was excellent

An absolute crime if Crowe doesn’t get a crack at another Oscar for his portrayal of Goering.

Movie had alot of power to me personally as my Mom grew up in Nuremburg during all of this. Luckily Nuremburg was pretty much the last city worth hitting by the end of the war so it actually came out better than alot of other German cities

I’ve stood in that stadium as a 10 yr old child and still remember the haunting feeling it gave me to be there. The rubble had been cleaned up but you could still see the outline of the swastika behind the podium where that SOB used to speak.

Wish the movie would have showed every one of the bastards being hanged but I’ll settle for what it did show. As an American/German mutt I can proudly say that while I’m proud of my German side, I’m glad for every Nazi that was ever sent to Hell.

My Mom told me of the time when they were still living in an apartment ( It was bombed/destroyed a week later) when the SS showed up at the door. They came to get her oldest sibling, her 11 yr old brother, for the Army. Her mom refused and the SS told her either he comes or they shoot her other three children on the spot. Her mom screamed as they took him away but luckily he was still just training on the outskirts of Nuremburg when the war ended a few weeks later.

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie

I found him borderline autistic in the movie. Maybe that was the point.

I also thought it was a little too simplistic of a very complex thing. I know not every movie is going to get fleshed out like Oppenheimer, but I think it needed more than what was given. It was a little sappy.
