50° wind out the NE
Mathews lift RS

Giving it my all, but this season is determined to kick my arse until the very end. Yesterday, I put about 10 miles on my e-bike, hopped on it after the evening hunt, and it wouldn’t go. Plenty battery, worked great until I parked it to go in for the evening, then nothing from the motor. Swapped it out for my 4 wheeler last night and came back today.
In the past, I’ve spent February hunting the south farm, but for whatever reason, they don’t allow hunting there anymore except for lotteries. I feel like I could at least shoot a doe there, so that’s a bummer. This just hasn’t been my year, but I’m gonna grind it out.

N Fl
46 NW wind
12 and 20 gauge
Headed to my dog camp with 7 and 3 year old. Catahoula riding shotgun. Little man kept us up all night throwing up but swears he’s good. No fever so off we go. Hopefully the donut shop hasn’t sold out before we get there.

Parking lot on iron gate road, walk less than 200 yards NE like you’re heading towards muddy road. Guaranteed doe opportunity.

We had our first buck on camera that has dropped one side. Probably will walk our little slice of paradise and see if it’s on our property.

Good luck all.

Got a dozen and a half, donut holes, and 2 Yoo-hoos. The day is a success no matter what.

When I was about 16-17, before everyone had smartphones, I went in there one evening heading NW. I got so turned around after dark, I thought I was never getting out of those woods
I had to call my brother, who calmed me down and was somehow able to guide me out over the phone. That’s the only time I’ve ever been lost in the woods lol

I tried to wing it one time in the pitch dark for spring turkey with a kid. After 10 minutes of walking, I saw tail light reflection - it was my vehicle. Nice big circle. Busted out the GPS after that.

Got a big ole doe at 8am, then nearly stepped on a moccasin with its mouth wide open on the way out.

Yep. It was also pretty chilly yesterday morning, so I didn't expect that thing at all.

Got an 82 lb doe yesterday. Still at it today. One of the guys killed a good 7 point. Great weather today. Wife and three year old are home with stomach issues so I’m trying to stretch this weekend as long as I can.
