Other thread ( 20th Preseason Rankings) got anchored and many people have been asking for updates.

Updated midseason rankings: (Previous Ranking in Parenthesis):

1. St. Aloysius (1) - They have been the most consistent all season.

2. St. George (5) - Only other team that can make a case for #1 at this point.

3. St. Jude (3) - The surprise of the season. They won the St. Jude Tournament.

4. CHS BR (4) - Have had some trouble with consistency.

5. St. Theresa (6) - The most physical team in the league.

6. OLOM (2) - Seems like they are already slotted in this spot unless they can make a major showing in their tournament this weekend.

7. SJV (7) - Can sneak up and defeat some higher rated teams.

8. STM (unr)

St. Theresa really looks like a 2002-esque John Brady LSU squad but with a better offense.

I am a ref in this league and have reffed all of these teams at least once, most of the twice. Here would be my top 8:

1. Aloysius - will kill you with motion and backdoor cuts to the hoop. Very disciplined and PG #12 is really good.
2. George - Big, tough, efficient. Hard to put them away if you have a lead late.
3. Jude - Undersized physically but play way bigger. PG is very difficult to contain, crash def rebounds well, have no bench so fatigue /foul trouble major concern.
4. Theresa - Typical physical, gritty Gonzales boys. Big low post players that have big attitudes, witnessed their blowout of Mercy earlier in season and it was a thing of beauty.
5. CHS - has all of the ability but play too individually and with bad attitudes at times. They are own worst enemy.
6. STM - Tall, athletic, fast, can out jump any other team. Streaky shooters, but can drive to the rim any time they wish. Dark horse team for sure.
7. OLOM - Not their best team this year. Very respectful kids in a league full of primadonnas, but just lack that fire teams ahead of them have.
8. SJV - Too streaky to have anywhere but the bottom of the top 8 rankings.

At what juncture do we have CSAA schools using their NIL coffers to recruit high schoolers back? This stuff is crazy

As a former St. Jude coach, there was nothing better than going to dinner at George's, looking over the list of teams, and rigging the St. Jude tournament bracket so we could cake walk to the championship.

Late 2010s. Coached younger teams (not 8th grade) while in college.

Don't want to fully self dox lol.

Pretty solid. I’d swap Theresa and CHS. Theresa plays hard every game. CHS can be flaky

Just sent Aloysius to the losers bracket in Mercy tourney.

George vs. Catholic tomorrow night for the Marquette rings.

Jude with another tough win over Dunham. Mercy hung with Theresa and had a chance to send to OT.

Absolute chaos in CSAA
