What a great press conference !!

What a great press conference yesterday !! A stark contrast to the pressers held by CBK. Lane was articulate and tried to give a good answer to each question that was asked. He really is happy to be in BR , LSU, and Louisiana !! I think he is a great fit for Louisiana and LSU. We couldn’t have had a better reset to the program. Let’s geauxxx !!

CLK just stomped CBK in the ground with this press conference. CBK was so full of shite and a major smart a$$. CLK will bring great things to LSU.

I really liked hearing Lane state the obvious, when said that those 2 five star D lines committed not knowing for sure who their coach was going to be. They just wanted to play for LSU ! We’ve got a brand, in state talent , and a coach that great players want to come and play for.

Remember when BK had his first presser and everyone was pumped....? I do.
"Its nice to have an adult leading the program...." "This is what a football coach sounds like!" etc
BK was an arse but gave pretty good pressers. He was the most articulate of any of our coaches since Saban in being able to give detailed answers.
That being said, I think Lane is a much better fit at LSU even tho he seems plain uncomfortable doing pressers and keeps clearing his throat, and hunches over. None of that matters tho....as long as he knows what hes doing and puts in the work...which to this point certainly seems to be the case.
Just pointing out that every new coach is a 'breath of fresh air' for the fan base.

My memory is bad, but I don't recall being pumped about anything BK said. I know you said initially, but he never excited me.

I actually see both sides of, "the only fit that matters is winning,"and "actually fitting in quite well." I think Lane will take advantage of the opportunity at LSU and win a lot. I think he's exciting for coaches, fans, and players. He really seems to embrace the brand.

Not necessarily. I was upset with the BK hiring. Kiffin is the most excited I've been over a hiring since Jay Johnson. I feel like LSU got an actual proven winner in the SEC. I didn't care how many games BK won at ND. . Kiffin is among the top 5 coaches in wins since 2020. And he did that at Ole Miss.
I'm so excited for Kiffin at LSU. LSU finally got a coach that I feel can actually scheme. I understand BK was considered a good coach, but I didn't see him scheming his way out of much when things went wrong.

That's absolutely what happened at LSU. He seemed to talk a big game, but didn't seem to put in the type of work that Kiffin is putting in.
I'm sure someone can tell me how wrong I am or that I got bad info, but I think Josh Pate brought up BK potentially took a vacation during a BYE week. I don't care if that's the norm or other coaches do it, I think that's ridiculous when you get paid this much money and you already somewhat on the hot seat.. It feels checked out. Even if players have time off and the coaches are limited it seems like a bad look. It seems disengaged.

There was/is an intensity with the new coach that has been missing. I almost didn't even realize it was missing having gotten used to BK's way of living, but it's really a shot of energy to see Kiffin be so engaged.

Nah, Orgeron was and is the con man that coached at LSU. He still is. It's who he is.
Kelly is the old guy who didn't want to work hard anymore, basically like a state employee coasting to his retirement.
Kiffin's still hungry, and is working hard.
