Should have just used the old school NBA on NBC theme.

Nelly had a decent song back in the day that used the NBA on NBC theme music

Fox Sports owns it now and uses it for their CBB coverage.

They use Roundball Rock every other night of the week, and I bet it follows this song to lead to the studio

Is that Slash with him on the video?

Loved them together on Always On The Run. Pretty sure they went to high school together.

The association is for euro trash and chinamen. NBC would do well to walk away at renewal

Well at least they don’t have end zone messages like end racism and don’t have criminal names on helmets. And no men in dresses doing halftime shows.

You have to decide which sport to show. NFL is peaking but continuing to offend its fans more than any other

That’s objectively terrible

The NBA has devolved into one of the worst products in entertainment

All you read in NFL threads is how awful the officiating is. Same for college football.

Show me one league where fans are happy with refs. Baseball is probably closest to good.

So, with all leagues having bad reffing now it boils down to what the league advertises. The NBA ironically has a nice band playing. No end of court social messaging. No criminals listed on uniforms. NFL has turned into an ad infested social brainwashing ad. And still has bad refs.

Some advice for the NBA:

NBC is going all-out for this Basketball Night In America broadcast. Entire A-Team is there on site for Lakers/Knicks. They just had Bob Costas welcome us to the pregame show for the first time since 2002.

There is no good reason SEVEN other NBA games should be on simultaneously as this showcase.

Fans of other teams are obviously going to be attending/watching those instead, and it does not feel like Sunday Night Football when there is so much else going on concurrently. Reporting, conversation, and discourse will be fractured by region.

A full Red Zone Witching Hour would cannibalize the potency of NFL Sunday’s weekly main event, no?

This needs to be a standalone product future seasons, if you want its cultural impact to be felt as intended.
