Name your top 2 new free agent signings this offseason

David Edwards (28) - LG
-Spotrac estimated AAV $20mm (3 years $60mm)
- seems to be the best option on the market for our needs
Alec Pierce (25) - WR
- Spotrac estimated AAV $20mm (4 year $80mm)
-former 2nd round pick
- Available - played in 16, 17, 16, and 15 games each of the last 4 seasons
- 800 yards, 7 tds 2024; 1000 yards, 7 tds 2025
We need to take advantage of the rookie QB window with some signings to give Shough protection and weapons.
I think we only sign one G this offseason and it’ll need to be LG. They’ll probably roll with Ruiz one more year and try to get his replacement in the draft. Grab an available and productive receiver in Pierce (6’3” 211) and the draft is mostly free to take BPA. I don’t really want RB but Love might even be an option if we did that

I do not like the Pierce signing at all. Hopefully we don’t go that route.

Care to elaborate? He looks like a good young prospect to me and doesn’t break the bank as far as WR signings

I would just dislike what he would cost in comparison of performance.
My two guesses for signings:
-Gross-Matos: DE
-Kyle Pitts: TE - we go full retard and think we can turn him in to something lol.

I’d be cool with Pitts and Edwards, see if we can unlock him with a good QB throwing it

Pierce is good deep threat but I think there is some overlap in his routes and olave’s. If we’re averse to resigning Olave due to his issues then I wouldn’t mind him at all as a cheaper replacement. As constructed he seems expensive for a deep threat if Shough continues his progression to a borderline elite qb.
Personally I’d rather a shorter, stockier twitchy YAC guy if we were investing highly through FA or a high draft pick. I’d then hope we could get the deep threat through a more one dimensional older player or a cheaper draft pick.

The Impact Third Leg Greg Olsen after he left Chicago, he was huge.
He gave teams Fits for years and kept them in close games with Carolina.
That is the Impact a Vet TE can have on a Team.
Thats where I would suggest spending money.
He was paid well, but not the highest in the league.
It would be great to see Sheaux, have another TE with this team.

Deebo Samuel on a 1yr/12mil or some shite
Giving Pierce $20mil a year when you are about to pay Olave $35mil is unsettling.

I guess it’ll depend on who’s available for us in the 2nd (Concepcion?).
Not that prototype but Underhill said Malachi Fields was getting attention at the Sr Bowl and thinks he’ll be a riser (6’4 222)
ETA Samuel would be a good option also

Offense:
LG: David Edwards #1
RG: Ed Ingram #2
Would be nice:
TE: Pitts/ Goedert
WR: Romeo Doubs
Defense:
CB: Alontae Taylor
LB: Nakobe Dean

Yeah Im pretty clueless as to the specific prospects…just my preferred type of roster building.
I think guys with some YAC juice both at one of the WR spots and out of the backfield are two things we really need in KMs offense.

Edwards Matos and Pitts we can do.
Would sure free up the draft

If Pitts only costs $10mm I think we need to grab him. Plus it’d be fun to see the Falcons’ super high pick dunk on them

I agree. And I honestly think Pitts can “un-suck” if used properly.

Alonte wants to be paid like a #1 corner and he’s not as much as I like his energy and physicality from the boundary or slot but he’s not a Derek Stingley or a Sauce Gardner or Pat Surtain. I ‘ll pay him like a #2 and maybe offer 4 years $60 million but he will want close to $90 mil.

You are out of your mind lol, Pierce is a VERY good WR and we would be lucky to have him. He IMMEDIATELY improves the WR room.
Now if you want to argue that we would be better served spending those dollars on IOL and go WR in the draft……I am with you. I also believe that this offense is in DESPERATE need of a YAC guy……which I believe will be easier (and much cheaper) to acquire in the draft.

LB - Quay Walker (Green Bay)
CB - Tariq Woolen. (Seattle)

Yeah I’m not knocking the player. I just think the $ he’ll demand would be better served else where.

I took a look at him but seems he might not be that great in coverage? GB also declined his 5th year option
The Jacksonville LB seems like a good long term option, but he has low total tackles for some reason? Good in coverage. He did make the 2nd team all pro team though

Do we need another Pitts? Give me a guy like Charlie Kolar instead
