I feel like we’re being taken advantage of NIL wise in MBB

All offseason the McMen flaunted that this is the most we’ve ever spent for players and that it was sure to pay dividends… well it hasn’t.

Not only that it seems like some of the more expensive free agents have checked out and out right not even playing. Is there anyway this can get this money back?

No which is why it was dumb to not fire Matt last season.

The NIL hasn't been the problem the last 4 years.

Maybe it has. Think of how bad we would be without Thomas and had a typical McMeh point guard.

I’d say he’s still actually injured but I guess we’ll see

This is actually our reality. Thomas hasn’t played most the year yet he’s making more than most Louisianians will ever see in their lifetime.

LSU probably spent $5 million on this roster. Thomas Jr. was a big signing and was performing very well before his injury. Sutton also probably got a nice NIL deal, but has only been decent. Tamba and MacKinnion have been pretty good budget finds.

What really hurt this roster was not retaining V. Miller and Chest. Maybe LSU just didn't have the NIL budget for that, but both would have filled holes on this current roster.

So. Thousands of kids that both played sports and didnt also graduated from LSU and performed their duties to a much higher standard than Nuss. They didnt get paid millions for it.
The subject is essentially the program being robbed by bad players not performing. Nuss tops that list every single time. No bigger waste of money in the programs history for a player. Ironic hes tied to Kelly whos the coach version of that.

This will be his 6th game missed out of 22. It could definitely be a lot worse, especially with how awful Reece was early in the season. We would have lost to some really bad teams in non conference.

But the McMen told me ad nauseam how these players weren’t any good. Miller was damn good for a freshman and Chest would be good if he could be developed. This coaching staff develops no one so he was unfortunately doomed from the start.

V miller was not “damn good”… MM has had no talent his entire tenure year ….. that’s problem number one, two, three, four, and five. Dude can’t recruit or manage a roster or Eye talent…… Should’ve been let go last year.

I donated $22k to basketball this past year. I’m fed up.
