Just for discussion's sake, say an illegal immigrant who owns a home is deported.

I did a Google AI search the other day to see how many illegals own homes in the US and Google said......,
Look at that^^^^ Now let's say hundreds of thousands of illegals who own homes are deported, what happens to the homes? I guess the obvious answer is the home goes on the market and sold with the money going to the illegal immigrant. Or maybe the home title is transferred to a relative or child who is a US citizen.
But the bigger fricking question is why illegal immigrants, many who have no intention of become US citizens and assimilating into US society are able to buy homes in the US legally?
You want to discourage illegal immigration? Make it illegal for illegal aliens to buy homes in the US.

Even permanent residents in lieu of citizenship shouldn’t be allowed to own or have any US loans until granted citizenship. Money should also be heavily restricted and taxed if leaving the country.

Foreigners can own property in the US.
I suppose if they own outright and pay property taxes they can keep it.
If they owe a mortgage and don't pay then it would be foreclosed.

I know, it should not be legal for illegal immigrants to buy homes in the US, just another way for them to stake their claim without going through the legal process.
Think about that, Illegals own nearly 3.5 million homes in the US.

When closing on our house this fall, the notary said her business was down due to restrictions on non citizens and illegals.
I hope it's true.
We should confiscate any property owned by illegals and sell at auction.
Proceeds distributed to actual net taxpayers.

If they leave or get deported they (a) sell it, (b) maintain the payments which is unlikely, or (c) let it go into foreclosure. At least the lender still has its collateral. In the case of auto loans, you had Tricolor, whose business model was based on lending to illegals. When Trump got elected they watched a lot of their collateral drive south of the border. They collapsed with the quickness.

So to buy a house or even a vacation condo in America everyone has to PROVE citizenship? What if the student from France is here on a visa for 5 years. He/she buys a condo near LSU to live. Is it ok because he/she has a visa? What happens in 5 years? Will they be forced to sell it?

I’ve always wondered how illegal immigrants are able to get their vehicles registered. I assume because there is nothing that says they can’t. There should be.

Seems like registration would be far easier than pay stubs, bank accounts, and credit checks needed to qualify for a mortgage.
