Basketball probably makes more because of sec tv contract. Baseball don't get paid much for tv.

Baseball at its best has broken even. Its a niche sport with a smaller TV contract (I know this is shocking, but outside of abt 7-8 SEC teams' fanbases and a few ACC teams, nobody pays attention to college baseball until Omaha), and expensive travel due to player totals(compared to basketball), number of games, etc.
