A trio of Florida Republicans have piped up since Tuesday, with one state lawmaker calling out Trump's Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, even tussling on X with his wife, Katie Miller. 'I do think that he will lose the midterms because of Stephen Miller,' state Senator Ileana Garcia, who stands to lose reelection in her swing district, told the New York Times in an interview Tuesday.

She later claimed on X that her criticism of Miller - an architect of the mass deportation policy - had gotten her 'doxxed.' 'Why have we become everything we've criticized? I’m not afraid of you, Stephen Miller,' Garcia said. Representatives Carlos Gimenez and Maria Elvira Salazar haven't called for Miller or Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's head, but did warn the party was in political hot water. 'I warned about this months ago, before the headlines caught up. Today we are watching it unfold in real time,' Salazar posted to X Tuesday night. 'Hispanics are leaving the GOP in large numbers, and pretending otherwise won't fix it.'

Rasmussen says otherwise:

The latest Rasmussen poll has revealed that Hispanic voters approve of Trump at 52 per cent compared to 45 per cent who disapprove. This is a 28 per cent positive shift compared to the previous month.

Well, Trump ran on trying to clean up what Biden had done. Trump promised to deport a bunch of people. I think he owes it to the American people to attempt to do so even if it loses some seats in the house and the midterms. Plus the party of the president often lose the seats in the midterms. Even without manufactured outrage by the media.

If Trump nationalizes the mid-terms, akin to the Contract with America, around all the 80-20 issues, there is a small chance the Rs can retain the House, despite the caucus, frankly, not doing much to deserve it.
I doubt there is anything like the unity required to do it.

Sure Jan.
So I'm supposed to believe the hispanics that voted for him based on what he would do are now turning on him based on what he's done?
lulz

Can we all agree that if the GOP loses and these policies are a large part in that, for those denying it now to not melt or do the silly black pill stuff or blame the media, in response to "I told you so's"?
If the opposite happens, people like me will say "well the data was wrong. I wonder what happened" without the histrionics or theatrics, in kind.

No one cares what you think so you have that going for you.

The average person doesn't know who Stephen Miller is.

My anecdotal data which I know doesn’t count is I have a Hispanic contractor who was all MAGA and voted for Trump. Since deportations started he’s been very supportive. Came in Monday and said can you believe they shot that guy? Not saying he’s not supporting Trump anymore he didn’t say that but he def wasn’t riding that train like he was.

state Senator Ileana Garcia,
She had a good gig in the first DJT admin. She is butthurt about not being included in part 2. She has that hot, Cuban blood boiling about being a low-level state senator from Miami.

It sounds more like she's worried these policies are tanking her re-election chances in her district.

That's called being selfish. She is putting herself above the good of the country. Of course, you don't see a problem with that.

She ran her mouth about something like this a while back. She’s butthurt.

Donald Trump won Florida's 36th House District by a significant margin, receiving 61.13% of the votes.
Maybe she is the problem in her district.
