A few weeks ago I made a post saying my fiance would not be happy about me attending Mass. Well, she wasn't at first, saying " I hated her Non Denom church". I really don't hate it, it is not for me. I showed her an EWTN Mass so she would have an idea but she said it was too boring. I still know Catholicism is the way to go for me and our family. She is the kind that needs the feel good Gospel and Concert for church. I tried to tell her, her Church only started in 1500.

2 Corinthians 6:14, you both should've considered this from day 1.

This is such a tired argument.

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

I grew up Baptist and now attend a non denominational. I get more out of my church now than I ever got out of the Baptist church.

Yeah mass is “boring” relative to a non-dem church. But if you still think like that you are likely a simple person. Church service is not a show or sales pitch.
Personally, not either, but the worship service swaying and pastoral ramblings were exhausting growing up.

If it's not in Latin, is it really Mass?

Sit, Stand, Sit, Sing, Sit, Kneel, Stand, Sing, offer peace to everyone, get mid mass snack and adult beverage, kneel for a few minutes in prayer, Sit, Stand and leave.
That is pretty much a catholic mass.

No but it’s definitely not a crime to be enjoyable.

How boring isn’t a measurement for how “holy” the church is.

How enjoyable isn’t a measurement for how “unholy” it is either.

I’m married to a Protestant, marriage is a difficult thing to navigate religious differences makes it exponentially more difficult.

I've found that if your significant other isn't on the same page as far as religion goes it's best to just cut it off unless you're going to convert.
