MSM stunned into silence Obama awarded a medal to Tom Homan

The mainstream media was quick to not really report this as news. But to point out that Tom Homan wasn't in the same position with Obama as he is now.
So the media is taking this as a win and reporting as Tom Homan was not in the same position at ICE. Obama indeed deported a lot of illegals. No one in the media really ever made it headline news or made a big deal out of it.

Actually pretty stunned to see President autopen somehow deported that many people. 
The wide open borders were the biggest problem & thankfully Trump locked that down in lightning speed

I think that is a very dated graphic but it is still being said today that Barack Hussein Obama deported As much if not more than President Donald J Trump

There was a decent amount of outcry over the cages used to house illegals at that time. For the most part, Americans are fine with deporting illegal aliens if it is handled humanely and not in an overly aggressive manner. Making a big spectacle every time you target a new city to send a huge ICE group to does nothing but hurt public perception and increase opposition.

The only reason he did his job and deported illegal immigrants Was because he had a get out the vote machine. He used free pizza and laptops for college kids votes and it worked.

For 95% of my adult life, the Democrats were the party of the common man and were champions of stopping illegals from undercutting wages of the American worker. Its like the parties flipped overnight.

That's an interesting take considering the data is already out there on this. The error rate, deaths, and non-criminal illegal alien data under Obama was substantially worse than under Trump. The only differences are: The media's coverage - we went from CNN ICE ride-a-longs to the network calling them "Gestapo". The funded agitators who are actively targeting and obstructing operations - both deaths in Minneapolis were trained "anti-ICE" agitators who decided to violate the law and physically impede a lawful operation. Lastly, the local law enforcement and state government agencies who, in may cases, have been directed to stand down or deny support/information to federal officers - making their jobs substantially harder and more dangerous.

Kind of true but better stated like this: "Making a big spectacle and mobilizing the Left's useful idiots every time a blue city is targeted for enforcement of federal law does nothing but hurt public perception and increase opposition." Which is the whole point of Dems doing this.
