I've watched at least a dozen Coach Jay. Johnson pre-season videos. One thing stands out

Facilities!!!
I can tell.He is getting upset about getting new facilities built for the baseball team. Especially the indoor practice facility.

What is really the holdup? How many more national championships does this man need to win?
I know all the money is going to football right now. But where are the big time baseball boosters? I don't think selling donuts and car washes are gonna get anything built. I have two hundred dollars if he needs it

Can you donate directly to the baseball program or does it have to be the whole athletic program ?

I’m in a financial place where I’m going to start donating to LSU.

How about we improve the seating at Alex Box before we worry about a billion dollar indoor practice facility, of which we already have a fairly new indoor facitlity just not big enough for his liking.

The players are all getting paid. How abotu a little something for the fans?

He got what he wanted last year. He wanted the bullpens out of play. It was done.

It's time to do a little something for the fans.

It’s a back burner sport at 95% of all
D1 schools. Always has been always will be. It will be financed as such . We happen to be the at the tip top of the 5% . Enjoy it.

Yep, I’d take care of Jay’s wishlist before the fans.

Rousse and Verge are going to have a shitshow on their hands if Aggy hires JJ.

All the goodwill with LK will be quickly spent.

Figure this out Verge, reward performance and JJ has delivered.

It’s not LSU’s fault the facilities have been on the back burner with nil at the forefront

Do you want facilities from your donors or nil support

Jay said at the first coachs committee meeting that you are stuck with me until 2032 with his recent extension
I don’t think he’s leaving lsu because of an indoor infield at this point

Plus lsu already has an indoor facility
He wants an indoor infield but they can always use the turf infield (u highs field)

Basketball facility is needed before anything else

I do think Jay has some saban in him and at some point if he feels like he wants another challenge maybe their is something else out there he would entertain but at the college level I don’t know that he would find anything better than lsu

I have a feeling somewhere down the line they may expand the indoor facility and you have some former players that could come into play to help with that

He's asking for major projects every, single year. Money is finite. How much does this new indoor facility that he wants cost? We just built a new indoor facility behind the right field corner not that long ago. We are at the point of wanting new stuff just to say we got new stuff. As pointed out several times in this thread, we have won 2 national titles in the last 3 years. Our current facilities allow our players to develop just fine. Where did Skenes, Crews, and Anderson get drafted? They accomplished this with the current, fairly new indoor facility.

Alex Box Stadium has the worst seating for it's fans in the SEC, minus Oklahoma and Missouri. LSU's current indoor facility is likely top 5 in the SEC.

yeah. Jay strikes me as a guy who is just slinging shite at the wall to see what he can get.

/sarcasm

Give Jay what he wants and he's gonna challenge Skip as the best baseball coach we've ever had. Dude has the drive of a guy who will never be satisfied no matter how many CWS he wins. Let's see how many he can get and keep him as happy as possible.

Jay is making between $3.05 million and $3.65 million over the next 7 years. If he wants a new indoor practice area bad enough he can likely fund it himself.

Or is it just yours and my money he needs to build it.

I want LSU baseball to win as much as anyone. I follow the team, I go the games, I make road trips to cheer for the team. But I'm serious when I say that at some point money is finite. LSU is in the top 3 nationally for LSU player facitilites. LSU has ponied up many millions of dollars to get Jay what he needs to win at LSU. It's time to spend a little money on the fans.

you're welcome to go to State and enjoy their stadium and fan experience. The rest of us want to win as many Championships as possible before Jay retires. I don't care if I have to sit on cardboard if he keeps winning Championships.

1. Basketball arena is top priority, IMO. We do not need to spend money on fan stuff at Alex Box.

2. As far as baseball is concerned, spending money on players is top priority.

3. Jay Johnson would do well anywhere that baseball is an important priority. He is a great head coach as well as a builder/maintainer of a program. He will not find a place that has more dedicated fans/support for baseball than LSU.

And yet LSU CONTINUES to lead the NATION in attendance. Give Jay what he wants. Real fans only care about a winning team. Not what kind of seat they're sitting in, concessions, etc. Bunch of cry babies
