Alaska Airlines or Delta Airlines

Flying from NOLA to Seattle and options are Delta Airlines (with connection) or Alaska Airlines (direct).
Is Alaska Airlines akin to Spirit (if so, I'm taking Delta).
Asking the Travel Board for your expertise here!

I haven't flown Alaska, but I had a colleague and friends that lived in SEA, and took it often. It's more comparable to Delta from their descriptions, and anything that prevents a connection is a bonus.

Alaska is perfectly fine. Take the nonstop

Alaska is definitely NOT like Spirit.
As a matter of fact Alaska Airlines grades out better than all the big carriers.
Flew them dozens of times on that direct to SEA, and I can tell you they performed way better than United, Delta, and of course shitty AA.

I love Alaska Airlines & was furious when they left Dallas Love Field a few years ago. They were very good to fly & their first-class prices were very reasonable compared to American Airlines or Delta.

Take Alaska non-stop without hesitation.

Alaska is a good airline. Similar to JetBlue and Southwest.
Spirit and Frontier suck arse.

Alaska is the best domestic airline along with sister Hawaiian Airlines.

No, they are a legacy carrier, not an economy airline. And they are the best domestic legacy carrier.

That direct flight from New Orleans to Seattle is awesome. No reason to pass that up unless it's crazy expensive which it shouldn't be
