I’m finally getting ready to upgrade the speakers in my theater room for my front LR and rear speakers. I’m pretty set on the Klipsch RP 8000F II to replace some old Bose speakers for the front but unsure on what to pick for the rear speakers. I have a Klipsch 12 inch sub and a Klipsch RP504C II center channel speaker already.

LINK These are on sale for 350 with a code. Would be some pretty beefy rear speakers.

That’s what I want but my theater room is kinda small. I’m working with 18x10. Rear speakers are mounted on the wall about ceiling height.

I don’t think those easily mountable if I’m not mistaken. Would have to figure out a way to mount them to the wall because that’s where the wires are.

That could be an option. How do you feel abo it the center channel speaker?

Feel like it’s super clear and think it’s a great speaker for the money. Just ordered the RP 8000F-II. Should be in around Feb 7th or so.

Denon AVR-X3700H is what I’m going to use to power them. I do have a HEOS amp that I’m not hung. Should I use that to power the 8000’s or just do all 5 speakers on the receiver? I had it running my outdoor speakers so not sure it would work with speakers on one zone. Probably better for a second zone.

I love the center channel. You'd probably do better sticking with Klipsch in wall speakers.

I did a bunch of in wall and ceiling speakers at my old house.

This house I went with a bunch of the Klipsch desktop old school looking speakers that I link together for sound in Kitchen, Office, Bedroom, bonus/ trophy room, and living room. I will do an outside system by the pool and 1 dedicated sound theater room that I will also listen to music in.

Will the in wall speakers have better sound? Don’t mind the wall mounted just looking to upgrade to a RP version with a little better sound.

Will end up paiting a dark gray or tricorn black and update lighting and fan. Also contemplating adding another sub but will see how the new speakers do before I do. It might be overkill with the new speakers and this one is turned down because it shakes the room.

In-walls will not sound better in most cases. Stick with the same Klipsch series for the center channel so your front stage will be timbre matched.

Don't dilly if you want to buy the Klipsch.

It's been reported that the roof of their original building in the Hope, AR facility caved in due to ice accumulation. Article says 60 people work in that building. Roof Collapses at Klipsch Manufacturing Plant Due to Ice Buildup

That might lead to some supply issues.

The speakers in the OP are not made in Hope, AR so there shouldn't be an issue there.

Rize, you need a bigger sub baw!

I haven’t this time around. Been using them for years.

I’ve tried different sound bars over the years and end up going to Klipsch. For the money and what I’m trying to do they have been good to me.

I got 1 delivered last night and the other was delayed

It’s amazing what a decent set of speakers will do for a home theater system. Forgot what I was missing using these 100 Bose bookshelf speakers that came with the house. I hooked up the one and it made such a difference.

Look into 6.5 inch Sonance in-wall speakers for surrounds and rears. Thank me later. Beat the heck out of my Klipsch speakers.

Just jamming out with the 8000’s I got today. Just need to figure out the sides and rears.
