Jazz fans may want to keep whatever's in their pants in check — according to a recent survey by affair website Victoria Milan, lovers of jazz are almost 10 times more likely to cheat than heavy metal fans.

quote:

The study (published by The Sun), which queried more than 6,500 people who admitted to affairs, also found that three-quarters of unfaithful men and women say they can't stop thinking about their lover when hearing their favorite music.

Jazz topped the list of "seductive" genres, followed by salsa and pop, which were most likely to send respondents into sexual fantasy mode. All I'm hearing is "nobody wants to frick to metal," which is simply not true. Other genres ranked as follows in order of cheaters' preference:

Jazz: 19%
Salsa: 14%
Pop: 13%
Country: 12%
Rap: 9%
Classical: 8%
Blues: 6%
Reggae: 5%
Rock and Roll: 5%
Electronica: 4%
Indie: 3%
Heavy Metal: 2%

Vedal added that music often enhances intimate moments: "The song you listen to on your way to meet your lover, or the music playing while you're intimate, becomes much more touching than the music you walked down the aisle to 10 years ago."

Country: 12%

I'd expect this to be a lot lower due to Carrie Underwood.

I have been to what seems like a million metal shows in my life. We don't have the most attractive fans. It is the truth. The heavier the band, the more unattractive the fans are.

Hot people have lots of options. Unattractive people have way fewer options. Fact.

did the study even take into account the number of listeners of each genre? it seems to say they surveryed 6500 cheaters and asked them what music they listen to.

if they want an accurate number of how prevalent fans of a genre of music cheating is they shouldve surveyed 1k jazz fans, 1k country fans, 1k heavy metal fans, etc...

the way they did it more popular genres would end up being a higher % of the total pool so also a higher % of cheaters.

Heavy Metal heads are trying to come off as hard core had bangers to make up for their micro dicks. So they have way fewer serious relationships to be cheated on.

is that what is says though? it says that cheaters rated jazz as the music most likely to induce sexual fantasies, not that it was their favorite genre.

theres a key difference in that wording from the headline.
quote:

The most “seductive” genres that were most likely to induce sexual fantasies in responders were jazz, salsa, and pop. The following is a ranking of other genres according to cheaters’ preferences.
