On one hand, a good hire for the Riley tenure if Gary has juice left.
On the other hand, that's a really tempting interim head coach in October.

I think Gary Patterson actually moving to Los Angeles, California is the bigger story here.

What's interesting is that defense was more the problem in Patterson's later years at TCU. He seemed to struggle with the modern offenses.
Maybe just his experience will help Riley learn to be a better HC, and that's the real goal.

I would have much preferred Kwiatkowski, but apparently he had horrendous interviews at both USC and Stanford.

Yeah I was under the impression the biggest reason boosters were able to gather the support to force him out was his supposed area of expertise had taken a huge nose dive.

Riley destroyed him while at OU while both OC and HC, which makes it especially strange.
