What will be the Bama-Clemson of the NIL/ 12 team playoff era?

My money is on LSU vs Miami playing each other often in the semi finals and finals

I dont think we will see one just yet. One of either NIL or the transfer portal will have to be regulated first, probably one through the other. Once these contracts start to become multi year and you don't have to rebuild an entire roster every other year you'll start to see some perennial matchups because at that point it'll become less who gets hot and more the CFB of old. I think Texas Tech has a free shot almost every year and same with Miami for the most part and ofcourse ND.

Oregon, Texas, LSU, Texas Tech, A&M, Miami and Ohio St. are all set to do well in the new NIL era. I don't see UGA going anywhere either so some combination of those teams will probably be in the mix most years.

Texas Tech vs Indiana.
Would actually be funny just to watch the “blue bloods” continue to be outraged that now they’re not the only ones buying rosters.

Why you so triggered at the thought of TX Tech and Indiana joining the ranks of the best of the best in college football?

Alabama will always be in play as well, plus I expect Indiana to build off their success and stay CFP relevant especially at 16 teams or 24.

I would be entertained if Vanderbilt and Northwestern ever played for a championship.

These days, you need to see how many billionaires are alums of the football programs’s schools.
Finebaum said yesterday that the state of Alabama has only 2 registered Forbes billionaires, and they’re both War Eagle alums.
I don’t know if there are billionaires in other states that are BAMA fans or dedicated alums, though.
LSU has been able to do so well, bc they have the governor pushing for these deals - like a fund raiser. The state has 4 Forbes listed billionaires, and there are some billionaires in other states (CA) that are LSU alumni & are contributing.
The key in NIL success is: 1) game plan, 2) money sources & 3) total buy in by sources

How much did Indiana spend on their roster last year?

Indiana is a blue blood.

Indiana this year is an anomaly and you know it.

After watching Landman a couple of seasons, how can it not be TCU?

Interesting question.
Let me try and bring a different look at it factoring in human elements.
Indiana, will they be as hungry since they won one?
Oregon should be going nuts trying to get one.
Ole Miss should be hungry as hell.
It seems to me that the money folks are not used to not getting their way. Their hunger and willingness to go all out is directly influenced by how successful they were in achieving their end goal.
If my hypothesis has any potential validity, maybe there is no two over and over like Bama and Clemson.
Maybe it changes based on who wants it more and that hunger is on who got close and failed.

There is none which is the beauty of this era... we are in the NFL lite / parity era.
This shite is moving target though - who knows what will happen in the next 2-3 years if things change.
