A strong, competitive team that fights and is competent and excellent in all three phases of the game.
I expect good coaching and good players who work hard
I expect a program that is aligned and working together
I expect discipline and innovation
Championships are a result of a good process, talent, good coaching, and a lot of good fortune, so I never have a “championship or bust” mentality. But, I do expect competency.

on paper you can't expect anything
it's getting the entire roster to buy into what the team can become that will determine success or not

Everytime we got in the red zone, immediate false start or holding
Everytime we got the ball to the 1, immediate false start or holding, maybe even a fumble
Every 3rd down to keep a drive alive, you could bet on Nuss taking a sack
A must score drive? Nah we get an immediate 3 and out
Was literally the most frustrating shite week after week

I don't either, it takes luck and sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way. Kim said it's tough to win a championship with a good team. But I will be disappointed if the team doesn't get in the playoffs even with the tougher schedule.
That should be the goal every year.

So you expect a top 3 team, because there are usually only 1-2 teams in the country that are excellent at all 3 phases

I don’t think we should ever EXPECT a ‘ship. At most, expect to be in a position to make the playoff OR for the committee to find a way to screw us out of the playoffs so they can save a spot for a 10 loss Bama team.

You can win a natty year 1 in the NIL era when you get the talent we are getting right now and retain your entire defensive staff.

Everything that has happened this offseason gets LSU back to competitive. That’s all.

After this season, knowing who & what led this program, I expect Lane to get us “in” the playoffs. We may not get past the 1st round (although deep down, I think we get to semi’s), but with this rebuilt roster, these new coaches, and LK’s system + his determination, I trust we make the CFP.
