Y’all have fun. I’m worn out from a shitload of driving and hunting since September. Going to rest up for a month or two and start chasing Axis and Turkeys in the Spring.

I thought about doing the same earlier. Especially because there was no IST topic.

I have seen the least amount of activity during those extreme cold events with ice and sub 30deg temps than just 35-45 and the days leading up to and after the event.

If the rut is on...I shot a nice buck in the snow in central Alabama in 2017 I think. It was a beautiful day and a cold beer cleaning that one at night.

I’ve got a buddy coming in tomorrow to hunt through the weekend. Son is supposed to come in on Friday night, but weather might prevent him. Maybe it’ll push some ducks down, if nothing else.
I’d prefer to head home on Friday, as we’ll need to cut off camp water and good chance we’ll have a power outage.

Went home last night from where I’ve been hunting/camping. Starting a new business right after hunting season, so I had to get some things done today to get that moving, but I came jump up in a little local spot for the evening. Freezer is low, so I’ll take a doe if I get a shot.

Absolutely. I’ll be heading back up to my camper probably Friday to make sure I beat any road closures. Planning to hunt the whole week. I’ve been looking forward to some weather like that all season.

It’s the people in south la that shut down. The majority are too scared to even sit in a box stand with a heater. Most people couldn’t tell you what the deer do, but say stuff like this to make themselves feel better about not going.
