I guess if the guys lined up in the backfield to shove a rusher to the outside just whiffs....you get blocked punts. I wonder why LSU can't do that. Does Indiana know something LSU coaches don't know?

Va Tech under Beamer did shite like that. It’s what happens when you actually treat special teams as a true third facet of the game and take it seriously.

Kelly didn't even have a coach for special teams. How do you expect us to block anything?

Two things: 1. They rush the punter 80-90% of the times. 2. The odds of a blocked punt is probably better than a punt return for a TD.

Kelly would have voted to remove special teams from the game. He couldn’t have spent more than 20 min each week on it.

We couldn't block a D-lineman much less a punt.

Some teams know that STs are 33% of game, have disproportionate impact on field position and have the potential of 100% momentum control.

Va Tech of 2000s and FSU of 1990s come to mind.

They don’t play SEC teams very often.

I’ve always said…if your D is good, very good or great, your ST should rush the punter most of the time.
I believe Joe Robinson was the last LSU STC that was that aggressive. That was a long time ago.

Well they have blocked two in the last two games against the top teams in the nation. has LSU done anything even close to that. Your argument is extremely weak

2022 showed that BK couldn’t give less of a shite about special teams

agreed, and a good point. Rush hard and fair catch .. LSU basically fair catches everything without rushing the punter.

87 te didn't try to block. Assumed he wouldn't make it to the kicker.

Pretty sure BK didn’t even know the ST coach’s name this past season. He probably thought he was yelling at the Indian IT guy every game.

It’s gotta be important to you first. Being great at anything requires a lot of time and practice

If you can say one thing about Indiana is they had zero weaknesses.

Most well coached college team I’ve seen.

Not the best, but the most well coached.

Amazing season
