Thousands of people demonstrated in the capital of Greenland on Saturday against President Donald Trump’s plans for the US to annex the Danish autonomous territory.

The protesters, including the territory’s prime minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, waving a Greenlandic flag, chanted slogans and traditional Inuit songs under light rain.

Many wore caps with the words “Make America Go Away” — a riff on Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.

The Nuuk demonstration coordinated with others across Denmark on Saturday that were joined by thousands.

Roll the tanks in Trump. These people can’t be reasoned with.

China is paying the protesters.

Just buy Greenland and promise $50K to each citizen.

Nuuk has a 9-hole golf course and the temps are surprisingly in the 30s and 40s this week. Might go check it out after the enemy dogsleds are contained.

Exactly. The entire population could be protesting, and it would still only be "thousands."

What if Denmark never sold Virgin Islands to U.S.A. ? : r ...
Yes, the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix) were purchased by the United States from Denmark for $25 million in gold on March 31, 1917, primarily for their strategic location near the Panama Canal, ending Danish colonial rule after decades of negotiations. The transfer marked the islands' renaming and incorporation as a U.S. territory, a deal finalized during World War I when Denmark faced money shortages and German invasion fears, making the sale mutually beneficial.
The Islands: The islands purchased were the Danish West Indies, consisting of St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John, and smaller surrounding islets.
The Price: The U.S. paid $25 million in gold.
The Date: Formal transfer occurred on March 31, 1917, now celebrated as "Transfer Day" in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Reason: The U.S. sought strategic control in the Caribbean, especially with the Panama Canal's opening, while Denmark was eager to sell due to economic decline and wartime pressures.
The History: Denmark had controlled the islands since the 1700s, but the economy faltered after slavery was abolished in 1848.
Outcome: The islands became the U.S. Virgin Islands, with U.S. citizenship granted in 1927, and later transitioned to civilian governance with the U.S. Department of the Interior overseeing them.

When thousands march in Greenland, that is a much higher percentage of the population than when America has millions march.

However, I always preach about those that do not march, which is generally in the 97 - 99 percentile, obviously feel exactly the opposite of those who march.

Why are the non-marchers not ever recognized for their opinion?

How come there isn't a wider angle shot of the "thousands"?

I'm sure that is more that what China or Russia would give the citizens.

That's alright, once we take it we can just deport them. Problem solved.
