Sometimes it not the size of the player but the size of his play!

Do you one better…class of 27 backer that plays with lsu target Caden Moss (OT) in Mississippi. US Army All American combine MVP, being recruited by ull and a few others right now.

Maybe we can take him since we can have 105 players now?

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not, but Linebacker is one of the few positions on defense where being slightly under 6ft doesn't necessarily disqualify you from being competitive at the highest level.
There are both pros and cons to being ether tall or short at inside linebacker.
Pros of being tall at linebacker:
1) Have a better reach radius for making tackles, and avoiding/preventing stiffarms.
2) Have more height for covering taller receivers and tight ends, especially over the middle.
3) Have more height and reach to bat down balls or even make interceptions over the middle.
4) More effective when being used as a edge rusher due to increased reach.
Cons of being tall at linebacker:
1) High center of gravity forces them to play lower to tackle shorter players like running backs.
2) High center of gravity reduces their lateral agility making them more susceptible to being juked.
3) Taller height makes them more susceptible to cut blocks.
4) Height makes it easier for offensive linemen to get lower for easier blocks.
In the pass heavy modern NFL height is more beneficial, but it isn't the end all, and hybrid l8nebacker/safety roles are extremely common.

Maybe we don't take a no offer guy cause his friend retweeted him trying to get a Grambling offer.

Thats the problem with the portal....hs "prospects" aren't a smart move by major teams now.
Use a scholly, teach and train them, and they leave the next year. No thanks
Rather get a 3rd year ss out of some other college that is at least game ready if needed

Rummel isn’t a public school.

Yea I’m not sure what that guy is talking about. I was only referring to Shaw.

It actually is, it’s just one you have to pay to attend for some reason.
Shaw isn’t public either by the way bro, it’s a little old school Catholic league humor that went over your head.
