President Trump had said to the protesters, "Keep gping. Help is on the way." Obviously, something happened that changed his mind with regards to helping the protesters.

We aren't privy to any classified information that Trump could have, but I personally wish that we had interceded to help topple that demonic regime.

Perhaps something can still happen, but the Iranian protesters are feeling betrayed.

PS - Tucker Carlson visited the White House twice this past week. Hopefully, Trump isn't listening to that bought-and-paid-for son-of-a-bitch.

Look at the posts towards the last pages of that thread and then try to keep the opinion that Trump won’t strike.

Because the protester did nothing but burn some buildings without damaging any command and control or show any ability to take over.

Did you want to put boots on the ground in Iran? The only real option to help them would be a full scale invasion. We could blow some things up but it wouldn't long term help the protestors.

It sucks. I don't have a clue what could be done to actually help them but just remember Iraq and Afghanistan. We set them up to rule their countries and immediately upon leaving, they fell back into chaos.

I really don't know what could be done but full scale invasion isn't an option anyone wanted other then the MIC.

And as others have said, he hasn't turned anything around. Strikes could be incoming but all assets have to be in position.

I think he will. Might have been a little premature with his words, but we will help in some capacity.

I think a lot of ME countries that put bases are in wouldn’t let us launch sorties from their territory.

Yeah, better that he had kept his mouth shut than to do what is beginning to look like bait and switch. Not a good look with a lot of people dying in the streets after rallying to his call.

You could be right. By all accounts, those people (protestors) are getting pounded right now.

I believe the aircraft carrier group is almost there. It certainly did not turn around. Additionally, Israel is hardening their defensive position.

Something is definitely going down soon.

Because a strike would not topple the government.

Unless you want a prolonged war it does not achieve much. And then you have no idea who will take over.

The people must do this and the Army has to back the people. Otherwise it’s a real mess

Also most of the Patriot batteries were pulled from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Israel. Not to mention there were not enough destroyers off the coast of Israel and in the Persian Gulf for intercepts.

BC his people told him that he will open a can of worms that he can't control with bluster.

Iran, isn't Venezuela and he is pushing his limits.
He can only hope they chill and decide their own future.

Isn’t there a carrier strike group en route? I seem to remember reading that.

If true, probably waiting on that.

After you’ve read that thread and are convinced a strike on Iran will happen, but still not happy that a strike hasn’t happened yet.. well:

Ayatollah said something nice about and showed respect. None of the protesters have done that.

Trump may have been duped himself. A similar scenario happened at the conclusion of the First Gulf War.

Bush the Elder seemed to encourage Kurdish opposition in Iraq to rise up against Saddam after the Iraqi Army was forced out of Kuwait. Yet when the Kurds responded, Bush chose not to intervene on their behalf.

Saddam then retaliated and brutally slaughtered the Kurds. It makes you wonder if this is some sort of sick game played by opposing factions in our nation’s national security apparatus which purposely feeds the President conflicting intel to intentionally foment violent chaos.

Do it right the first time.

Need the air support and navy in place. We didn't.

Iran doesn't get to kill thousands, possibly tens of thousands and get off.

Hundreds of IRGC targets are going to be ended. We just don't know what day.
