He wants to replace Cassidy as do I buy he suggested a person other than Fleming. What is the scoop on that?

Valid question. Maybe Julia Letlow had better answers to Trump’s questions at MAL.

Gov. Jeff Landry, who is now President Trump's Greenland person, is pushing for Letlow. Landry was in D.C. this weekend.
What I can't figure is...did Julie Emerson, a longtime Landry ally who carried several of his bills the last couple sessions, get or not get a guarantee from Gov. Landry that he was 100% behind her candidacy? She even stated a few months back that she would run only if Letlow was not going to run.
Something's up. Maybe Emerson wasn't polling well enough?

POTUS Trump knows Letlow will take votes from Cassidy which gives us Fleming.

People willing to vote for Cassidy after all that's transpired aren't going to just switch to Letlow because she's in the race.

I hope that works out that way. Cassidy has to be replaced but Letlows voting record is essentially the same as Cassidy. She is not conservative.

Fleming is MEH.
Miguez sucked the oxygen out of the room last summer with a huge haul when he announced. Some who I thought would stay with Cassidy went all in and max contributions to Miguez.

Fleming was a founding member of the Freedom Caucus and worked for President Trump in his first administration. I don’t understand how anybody else would be better suited for the Senate position. And why wouldn’t President Trump endorse Fleming.

Because Fleming isn’t a for sure win. Letlow would beat Cassidy. I’m sure Trump is seeing internal polling.
That being said, I don’t necessarily trust her.

Trump likes supporting attractive women, even over more capable old men.

Miguel who?
Blake Miguel he owns workboats in the Gulf of Mexico with all employees having to be documented. I don't know that that is the case for owning a bunch of Subways.
Fleming did win Sec of Treas against very weak candidates without financial backing.
