Texans should trade Stroud and let Mills be the QB

Stroud has regressed each year. Davis Mills is a decent game manager and that’s all you need with this Texans D. Some team will likely trade a high draft pick for Stroud which they can use to draft another QB. Stroud’s contract is up in 2027 and there’s no way you may him 20M+.

I've been saying this for weeks now. Texans would be much better off with Mills given this defense.

Given how rattled Stroud looks it’s reasonable to put in Mills in this game but he is not the answer if/when they move on from Stroud they need a new QB

Not sure what this is supposed to mean. Just because Stroud is playing awful doesn’t mean Mills would be the long term answer. Absolutely make a switch in this game, DO NOT extend Stroud and start looking for a replacement

It's about fit. Mills is the right fit with this defense. You would be in the SB this year with a low-risk game manager at QB.

Mills struggled coming in against Indy. He didn’t complete a pass for like a quarter.
It’s as much their OC as anything. Kaley sucks complete arse.
Brady showed yesterday how a great OC can scheme big plays and moving the ball down the field. Sure he has Allen at QB, but some of the play calls were genius.
You can’t say the same for Kaley. He may be thé worst OV hire in a long time and is the pro version of Joe Sloan.

Is he though? This is just projecting, assuming he would be a “game manager” he did play before and he’s nothing special. Stroud was epically awful in these playoffs and I would have been fine benching him for Mills today but Mills is not the answer, they will need another QB, Mills is a nice back up that’s it.
