Josh Allen is great....in the regular season. Hopefully the game yesterday will finally put that topic to rest.

Patrick Mahomes at 9 seasons into the NFL:

AFC Championships: 5

Super Bowl Championships: 3

Post season head to head: 4-0

Josh Allen at 8 seasons in to the NFL:

AFC Championships: 0

Super Bowl Championships: 0

Post season head to head: 0-4

Allen is way better than Mahomes. You Chiefs fans are delusional with your gifted Super Bowls.

Mahomes hits his tight end in that last drive to seal the game. He doesn't throw it 10 feet over his head

Brady makes that throw to Gronk.

Josh is a great QB but he needs to step up on the biggest stages. The fumble at the end of the half is inexcusable

He is considerably better in the postseason though

Also, Mahomes for the first year had a Bills like team around him. He missed the playoffs entirely

I will never understand why so many people use team accomplishments when comparing individual players.

Allen is probably a lot less gay and annoying with his gay facial expressions.

Himan beings once burned people at the stake as witches to make it easier to rectify things they couldn’t explain. . Using team stats to judge players is kinda far down the list for things the human brain has done to simply things

i don't normally but the fumble was all on Josh. He had two chances to win the game and the first one should have been caught but it was low. The second wasn't even close.

Here is the thing, the way the bills are currently constructed and how their defense is in the playoffs it takes complete perfection from Allen to win, and even sometimes that isn’t enough (see 13 seconds )

These are 13 games from tom Brady in the playoffs where his team won ALL 13 OF THESE GAMES :

2 TD - 3 INT - 66.4 RATING - 2.94 ANY/A
2 TD - 3 INT - 57.6 RATING - 3.42 ANY/A
0 TD - 2 INT - 57.5 RATING - 3.89 ANY/A
1 TD - 0 INT - 92.2 RATING - 4.50 ANY/A
0 TD - 1 INT - 70.4 RATING - 4.67 ANY/A
0 TD - 0 INT - 84.3 RATING - 5.05 ANY/A
1 TD - 0 INT - 73.3 RATING - 5.39 ANY/A
3 TD - 3 INT - 73.8 RATING - 5.41 ANY/A
1 TD - 0 INT - 86.2 RATING - 5.64 ANY/A
2 TD - 2 INT - 68.6 RATING - 5.73 ANY/A
1 TD - 1 INT - 76.1 RATING - 5.73 ANY/A
0 TD - 1 INT - 71.4 RATING - 5.78 ANY/A
1 TD - 2 INT - 77.1 RATING - 6.04 ANY/A

To win a Super Bowl it 100% has to be a team effort during the playoffs. The bills are not made that way currently

If Allen wasn’t carrying the ball like a loaf of bread at the end of the first half and gifted the Broncos 3 points by fumbling, the Bills would have won that game.

That was as careless as a play as I’ve ever seen at this level of football.

i agree but the fumble was all on Josh. He has to know better as a vet. And the throw to Knox sends you to the AFCCG. He's gotta make that throw. He knows that too

Yes it is

But look at those 13 games from Brady. Some are awful, way worse than what we saw yesterday from Allen and they still won because the team carried Brady….

And I’m not cherry picking a few games, that’s 13…. The bills can’t expect to ever truly win a Super Bowl with how the team is constructed.

The other teams that have elite QBs and bad teams didn’t even make the playoffs this year….

An elite QB needs to be able to carry the team at times during the playoffs. But you can’t have him carry them entirely for every single game

Mahomes is the only QB to win a Super Bowl with a defense that gave up 25 ppg or more in its playoff games. Oh wait he did it twice.

Mahomes in his first 6 seasons is the best QB of all time , I started multiple threads saying such

But he hasn’t been that guy for 3 years . This year was better than the previous 2 , but with that knee injury I’m not sure if he gets back to being at the top

Mahomes is better.

Allen is outstanding.

QB is extremely important, but this sport is much more team-driven than message boards and TV pundits care to admit.

he can still win but he probably will never be as good as he was but that might be enough. Being north of 30 will play as big as role as the injury imo. Guys that last into their 30s or even 40s don't rely on their legs (I think Allen will be able to do this better than most if he can avoid a major leg injury) Movement was a big part of mahomes game. Anyone thinking there won't be a bit of a falloff is crazy. Its whether he can evolve into a Brady/Manning mold

No doubt

Josh has played more than just 1 playoff game, though. Last night wasn’t the only one.

Bills playoff losses with Allen:

33-30
32-29
27-24
27-10
42-36
38-24
22-19

His averages just in the losses :

67%-277 yards per game- 2 tds per game —0.5 ints per game—101 rating

Not sure how anyone looks at this and thinks anything needs to be done offensively much less the qb
