Short episodes, short season. I'm sure it will be a bit frustrating in a series that normally features hour long episodes, but I suppose it's better than doing one two-hour movie for each novella.
Looking forward to the Laughing Storm as well as the Trial of Seven. Apparently, it will be the most realistic joust scene ever filmed. We'll see.

The longest episode this season is 42 minutes and it’s the pilot assuming that info was correct

Hodor checking in, I might pick these books up and read them. I bought the Fire & Blood book and go through spirts of wanting to read it. From what I've seen these are a shorter and easier read.

IIRC, the events of this series take place about 75 or so years before those of GoT.

I mean Game Of Thrones last two seasons were a disaster and ended up with a cripple on the Iron Throne

That's kind of a bullet-head take. There is plenty of good, self-contained stories left in this universe. Even if GRRM died tomorrow, they'd still have years of shows they could produce.

yeah, sucks we ONLY got like 5 years of the best TV show of all time and very well done content to talk about.
Also, Bran is the main character. He always was. His entire storyline lead to why he was gonna end up on the iron throne. The only issue with it was how they rushed the ending rather than spending the time needed for 10 full seasons
