Eric Dickerson got a Pontiac Trans AM from Texas A&M and then turned around and went to SMU for more money . The SMU players called Dickersons car "The TransA&M" .

I will agree with you that they paid more than $61k but that is what they got caught for. However, a car in the 80's for $100k is a lot of money that would be extremely rare.
