You prefer a guy that’s played two college games? Why?

How is this not tampering? Is declaring for the draft equal to entering the portal now?

Higher upside, will play this spring, higher chance he sticks around 2-3Y at half the cost in Y1

Eta- and he's played in 4 IIRC while being mentored by Lincoln Riley for a year

If Leavitt was mad at us for pursuing Williams then he should be boiling mad at Miami.

who cares about the price when we’re getting all this other shite too. It’s not like we’re throwing all of our money in it.

The trip to Knoxville was not cheap. Being reported we upper the offer significantly after the Demond fiasco.

Did him and Alabama have a falling out? There was a point in the year he was pretty elite, figured if he was coming back why not go year 2 with DeBoer. Unless they are all in on the 5 star freshman.

There have been reports that they can’t swing/justify keeping both, and were pushing Simpson to the draft.

Unless he thinks he has a first round number, that Miami offer is hard to pass up. In 2025 the first pick of the second round was set to make just under $12M over 4 years and the first pick of the third round $6.7M over four years.
