It is not that hard to understand, yes we want him as our back up but these kids want to start even him. No chance we get them both and I know that is what we all want.

Why is he considering Michigan then ?

Clark has 4 years of eligibility correct?
No reason both can’t come to LSU

We are recruiting Clark as a backup

You’re getting downvoted, but there’s probably some truth to this. He can start somewhere next year. I’m not saying he isn’t willing to wait one year, but he definitely wants to know the situation before signing.

We should be able to know what Kiffin is trying to do.
Is he recruiting Clark as a backup / future starting QB?
Or, is he recruiting him to start in 2026?

So he won’t go anywhere that doesn’t guarantee him a starting role?
Thats hysterical.
Next.

No way this is true - “hey, come be our #2 even though we’re not sure who that is”

Yeah that’s why Michigan is in his top 3 with Bryce underwood. Y’all need to stop posting misinformation that simply is not true

You got a source or an opinion piece delivered as fact?
Posted on 1/11/26 at 11:59 am to LLSSUU
Yes he has Missouri, who signed Austin Simmons already, in his top 4.
ETA: I didn’t realize that was Michigan. Makes the take even worse since they have the most expensive QB in the country as their starter for the next two years. Missouri would actually make more sense.

Underwood is almost guaranteed to start because of what they’re paying him. They’d be throwing $4 mil down the toilet if he’s on the bench.

But he’s from that powerhouse Elon. He can demand a starting role and top tier money right?

He’s getting a lot of interest from other schools. I posted in another thread yesterday. He was having lunch at SoLou with his agent, Dane Stevens, and others yesterday. I heard his agent on the phone saying they were getting lots of interest over the past few days and they’d be returning phone calls to other schools last night.

Bro. This is the difference between ppl who are doing well in the portal era and ppl who arent.
You need a 1 to 2 year starter and a 1 to 2 year back up in the portal. You still have HS recruits and youre not g9nna to pay premium dollar for a 4 year project in the portal thars gonna cost more each year for retention.
If anything, this guy would be brought into compete eith Leavitt or in case of a injury. Thats it... and its going to cost.
