I could’ve sworn there was a topic on this already but I searched and didn’t see anything.

Anyone have a study or info backing this up? I think I remember some adverse effects but it took a ton of caffeine on a daily basis to impact creatine

Not sure about caffeine, but coffee, or any other hot liquid, accelerates the process of converting creatine into creatinine. As I understand it, if you put creatine in your coffee, it is best to drink it immediately.

Johns Killer Protein creatine has a "pro tip" on the back of the bag about "caffeine counteracting the benefits of creatine"

Does not cite any particular study

Creatine and caffeine have opposite effects on calcium regulation. Limiting caffeine to 250mg or less minimizes the counteractive effect.

That's what I was just thinking. And I usually take both at the same time.

Damn... I mixed 240mg of caffeine powder into my creatine this morning. That's how I almost always do it.

At least I have some time between. Post-workout I usually go home and eat, then protein shake with the creatine mixed in. So give or take 2 to 2.5 hours between caffeine and creatine.

I read someone on here say that before and I just switched mixing my creatine with PWO to mixing it with my post workout protein. Not sure if that is better but it was an easy swap

I take my 10g with some water around 6, right before breakfast, and first caffeine is at 8. So, I guess that's fine.
