Read on Nola that the partners voted to dissolve the firm.
18 offices and 160 employees… firms that size don’t just fall apart.
Someone here knows something…

Financial services which is their bread and butter has had massive consolidation over the last thirty six months so the income stream was definitely impacted nationally.

This is a legal earthquake.
You have to figure some of these offices will become new firms, but there are a shitton of highbrow lawyers wondering where their next meal is coming from.

Her bio on the JW site kind of alludes to her having a massive book.

McGlinchey leaves father's namesake firm; new hires at Jones Walker, Mary Bird Perkins
Imagine being this guy
quote:
Deirdre McGlinchey has joined Jones Walker as a partner after spending three decades at McGlinchey Stafford, her father's namesake firm. Special counsel Rob Denny and associates Gillian Miculek McCarroll and Ryan Lavelle joined McGlinchey on the commercial disputes team.
Jones Walker also announced seven new associates at its New Orleans office. Harrison Bond, Stephen Capella, Ahn Do and Dillon Knight joined the corporate team. Claire Dinwiddie has been added to the labor and employment team, Madelyn Graves to litigation team and Ali Odermann to the maritime team.

I don’t have any inside scoop but when your dad started the firm and you leave, I can see a lot of business leaving with you.

Usually leads to merging up.
Wonder if the partners could not agree on a merger and some are going to go merge into different places.
