I saw the numbers for Iowa State and Oklahoma State. They have each seen more than 50 transfer out so far! ??

Its almost like teams that lose/fire coaches are going to lose a lot of players o the portal.

I know everyone thinks everything is about money, but relationships matter quite a bit as well.

Seems unsustainable over the long run.

The losing players (particularly the ones we have lost) doesn't bother me as much as the slow progress of replacing them. I know we have to just trust the process but its unnerving to see our guys signing elsewhere and not much action (publicly) in the other direction.

4 of our players have officially signed elsewhere

Many if not most of them already know where they’re going before they enter. We’re going to take a hit this year, but that’s to be expected with the coaching change.

Iowa state had like 20 players straight up transfer to Penn state to follow their coach, which sucksssss

Its Day 5 and multiple of our players have found new homes. I am not saying we should have a full roster but I do think most expected us to a little more active than we have been out of the gate.

Again, I am not saying that we are doing anything wrong, it just sucks being in limbo and not knowing who will be on the team next year.

Unless they follow their previous coach , still have to build new relationship .

Sure. But players want to take visits. Coaches have to evaluate players in the portal. New players are going into the portal by the hour. They are clearly focusing on the big targets (like QB) right now. The rest will fall into place after.

I honestly don't know what some of you expected.

Yeah but that might not be so great for Penn St. These guys couldn't win enough in Big 12 now stepping up to the Big 10.

Uncertainty is generally uncomfortable. I agree.

I'm not sure that signing the players will abate all of the uncertainty.

It's probable that most of the players Kiffin signs will not be household names. It's far more likely the majority will be at least somewhat obscure.

I expected the LSU brand and Kiffin's offensive prowess to get us some guys fairly quickly. I seem to have misjudged the damage that BK did to our brand and the damage the media has done on Kiffin.

I am by no means panicking at this point, I still think we have a good D and kiffin will produce a better O than last year regardless of players.

Yahoo sports had a story that nearly 1/3 of all NCAA division one players are in the portal. Crazy and unsustainable.

A majority of the players we had weren’t doing their job or substandard for LSU. They needed to go

Weird that Iowa State’s entire team followed Campbell as did Cignetti’s at JMU, yet no one is following Lane

Lane’s team is still playing plus there is a big difference in JMU to Indiana and Iowa state to Penn state. Ole Miss to LSU is the same conference and considering OM is still in the playoff and kiffin kinda left them hanging even if it was against his will all factors in.

When the dust settles, if he shocked if we really didn’t get any OM players at all.
