Something everyone needs to realize regarding Ole Miss

They are deeply, deeply hurt that Kiffin left them. Like, rocked to their core hurt.
They are going to do every single thing to make Kiffin and LSUs life hard, regardless if it’s smart, true, beneficial to them, or not.
Look at the spin on hiring Austin Thomas, Frank Wilson, etc- “Ole Miss took those guys from LSU”. The reality is those guys were not retained and were free agents.
I expect every LSU portal entry will be linked to Ole Miss at some point and will be spun as “Ole Miss is poaching LSUs roster”. The reality is LSU kept the players they wanted to keep- Pickett, Berry, Woodland, Green, etc.
I expect MASSIVE overpays for Chambliss and Lacy to stay at Ole Miss. The “rumors” of Charlie Weis to the Giants the same weekend LSU is hosting portal QBs, convenient huh?
Ignore all of it. It doesn’t matter. They’re having their best season ever and seem as just as focused on making LSU look bad. Let them have their fun.

My issue is that we continue to play nice with ole Miss while they clearly want to play hardball.
Pull the fricking coaches and if Weiss wants to stick around Oxford let them pay his buyout.

This needs to be cleared up right now.
Austin Thomas was sent packing.
Every attempt was made to keep Frank Wilson here as a recruiting coordinator only.
I think history shows that Wilson's true value is as a recruiter at LSU. Ole Miss isn't going to start snatching players we want, but we absolutely tried to keep him.
So, if Ole Miss wants to claim a win over LSU while he fricks their RB depth and production to hell over the next 2-3 years, they can have it.

Some of ya’ll are hopeless. You don’t overpay for Chambliss. He is by far the best QB available. You pay what you have to. A major win for them, no way to spin it otherwise.

Money recruits now, not Frank. OM is wasting their money. They bought into an antiquated sytem. But everything about that place is antiquated.

What the frick are you talking about? No one has said anything about not wanting Chambliss. Only that LSU couldn’t get left with their dick in their hands waiting for his situation to clear.
They have to be proactive with the available QBs.

You might be right, but it doesn’t change the fact that LSU was planning on overpaying Chambliss and Lacy as well and we failed to do that. Not the end of the world but we need to find somebody to replace them of equal or better talent.

We don’t know who is or isn’t planning to transfer from Ole Miss outside of that Chambliss report. They have an extended window to enter their name after the playoffs.
