The indictment is five years old. SDNY is where major financial, corruption, and narcotics-trafficking etc cases are run through because that’s where the financial institutions are located.

Skimming through the 25pg indictment… it looks like within the background there were definitely shenanigans in Miami.
I don’t think this gets screwed up even in NY… it’s been a long time coming and to my layperson eyes it doesn’t look like a sloppy operation.
