Any response from the Venezuelan government?

President Trump said that the new President of Venezuela (Maduro's former VP) agreed to do whatever we want with the transition. My guess is that we have already secured the cooperation of the Venezuelan military. Has the government as a whole capitulated?

Can anyone find any response from the Venezuelan government to that statement? I know there were reports (now disputed) that VP Rodriguez had been in Russia when Maduro was extracted.

I used to get news from this service, but it doesn't work now:

I think Trump said he was pleased.

Anyone from the Venezuelan government who could give a response is in custody of the USA or dead right now.

How are we enforcing that, though? It doesn't sound like we left any troops on the ground.

Do you think the CIA has already turned most of the Venezuela military already?

Not according to Trump. He said that Maduro's VP has been sworn in as the new President of Venezuela and that she and Rubio had had a productive one hour discussion this morning.

The Venezuelan government is aboard the Iwo Jima at the moment and couldn’t be reached for comment.

That would make sense. I'm impressed with the amount of preparation our intelligence agencies apparently put in.

They've had govt officials speak in the streets with armed military behind them. Don't have the twitter clips, but some have come out.

Mostly earnings to not go crazy in the streets.

Thanks. Have they agreed that "the U.S. is in charge?"

Not from what I've heard. Standing by that it was illegal and that the world will come and get them Maduro back. Yadda yadda yadda.
