Iowa can’t score in the Big but just laid the wood to one of the SEC top tier teams that was argued to make the playoff. They even held that team to less points than most SEC teams did too. They did all this in a meaningless bowl game for them that Vanderbilt clearly cared about lot for.

Iowa would be LUCKY to score 7 ppg aginst sec defenses laying the wood against them! Dont fool yourself into thinking the sec gave 2 hoots about these garbage bowl games. The gumps showed they were overated as fudge and didnt belong but the rest had nothing to care about. We were everyone elses World Series and it showed what can happen when one team cares and the other doesnt!

Not many SEC teams aside from maybe Georgia or Ole Miss would be able to score more than 20 points against Iowa’s defense.

Come on man lol

We would probably do better than most people on this board think as our offense is much improved in the last couple years. I think we would go 9-4, like we did in the Big Ten. We were 1 play away from beating both Indiana and Oregon this season, that should speak volumes to most but it won't.

Which is why I bring this up. Iowa was a tough out in the B1G and it’s clear the work the SEC over pretty good. Vanderbilt was lethargic up until the fourth and they had one of the more explosive offenses in the SEC. I think two losses most tbh

Lol. There was 1 opt out in the Iowa game, Vandys Tight End. Their midget QB that tore up the SEC was in a prove it game against a top 10 defense and was neutered until he threw up some 50/50 balls that landed.

They trailed 2-3 scores most of the game and Iowa physically dominated them on both sides of the ball.

Nice sarcasm...you encapsulate 2010s SEC fan to a tee...thanks for the trip down memory lane...but you forgot, "we beat each other up in the SEC each week, that's why Alabama got destroyed by Indiana, Georgia beat them up a month ago and the were still recovering dammit!"

They were incredibly annoying on TD in the offseason heading into 2011. Cascadia has been awful for a while; literally every single post is anti-SEC drivel.

The sad part is they’re all like this in the PNW and have been for 20 years. They get gobble Ohio State, Michigan and soon to be Indianas balls now but they’re no different.

Are you saying VANDERBILT doesnt care about their bowl game? How many bowls have they won n their history?

Also its not saying much for the conference if the teams cultures are so bad that the players and coaches "dont care" about winning or losing.

Good programs with winning cultures play to win the game.
