There’s no way that Trinidad should be granted a waiver to play another year

There's no way that you can grant Trinidad a waiver because then you open a giant can of worms. If you grant the waiver then you're saying D2, D3, and juco doesn't count as any eligibility at all for anyone. So every collegiate athlete with D1 aspirations (which is all of them) that has played D2, D3, or juco are all going to apply for that waiver, and if you grant it to Trinidad then you have to grant it to all of them.
Trinidad is a fun story and I'd love to have him as our QB next year. I remember a few months ago when he first came onto the scene and was lighting it up, I was telling my friend how ridiculous it was that we can't get great QB play at LSU but Kiffin was pulling in D2 kids from Ferris State off the bench and making them superstars. What made it even more wild was that he had a unique name and everyone was putting the Trinidad & Tobago flag in their bios

I know some will disagree because they want him at LSU but why in the hell does he play one more year of college football? I mean he has proven what he can do and I am not saying he is a first rounder but he has the talent to play at the next level even if it is as a backup. I think even if he gets the extra year he doesn’t play in college next year.

he is asking for a medical redshirt not a waiver that D2 doesn’t count
last article I saw about it didn’t look to promising

quote:His waiver request is mainly based off an injury at Ferris state. He is looking for a retroactive medial redshirt because rules were different in D2

Maybe NCAA heard he would be going to LSU. You laugh but

I'm not expecting him to receive an additional year.

I have done nothing to follow up on this information since i saw it so full disclosure it could be BS
but he is saying he had chronic tonsillitis one year and it inhibited him from being able to compete and play.
he sent records from an August Dr’a appointment and a december appointment when he eventually got his tonsils and adenoids removed
The NCAA wants to see proof he has issues during the season because they don’t seem to be buying that he had ongoing tonsillitis for 4 months.
Which I mean… it’s like a 3 day recovery get them out if they’re a problem that long.

If he wasn’t wanting to play in college next year then he wouldn’t be trying to go through all of this with the NCAA to get a waiver. That would be totally stupid lol.

He’s asking for a medical redshirt. That’s different from the D2/JUCO wait that Pavia got.

Why does Pavia get 6 full seasons?
Because it's junior college and he wants NIL?
If Pavia can play that much then Trinidad with any sort of medical issue should. He RS and also wants a medical shirt. I believe Pavia played 6 full seasons.

Worm can has been opened since 2020. In this era, everyone in college can play for 6-8 years now

When have they ever said no?
His lawyer is undefeated.
Maybe this is the time?

I'm sorry, but if Pavia can play 6 full seasons then I think a medical shirt can be granted here. Especially if he only played 2 games one season?

We have literally had 2 Heisman QBs in recent history.

The main difference is that the Medical issue needs to be season-ending.ng.
