We don't have a corporate media. We have a propaganda drama class media

If we had a functioning press, a lot of the issues we have as a nation would have been exposed and dealt with decades ago. A functioning, objective, free press is essential for a democracy to work. We don't have that, we have a partisan propaganda machine that protects the elites because they think they are part of the elite.

YES.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem to me that a lot of people really think about this. If we truly had an objective, professional, honest media which possessed real integrity, it would act as a strong deterrent for people wanting to commit fraud and other criminal acts because they would be afraid of getting caught. I understand now that he may have had some help, but a 23 year-old regular citizen just exposed more corruption than our complicit media has uncovered in many, many years.

If one (or a few) non-journalists can expose a huge scam like what's going on in Minnesota, just think what Disney/ABC, NBC, CBS, Fake Fox, PBS, NPR, CNN, MSNOW, WAPO, the NYT, etc. could do if they were actually on the level.
