Can we buy an elite kicker in the portal?

First of all, big ups to Ramos. Bro was a great Tiger and gave his all for LSU. That being said, he was far from automatic, and took a noticeable dip this past season. I chalk that up to coaching. One play doesn’t lose a game, but a missed easy money kick was the difference in the Texas Bowl. With NIL and the portal, what’s keeping us from buying another Cole Tracy or Cade York? Dudes had that DAWG in em! Is Assumption College still playing football? I’ll hang up and listen.

We had good to great kickers for like 20 years. You don’t have to buy one you just have to give enough of a shite about special teams to find one.

True, Ramos has been good….just not “lights out” good, say like Cade York, or some other recent PK’s who could hit it consistently from beyond 50 yards.
Ramos was 3-7 50 & beyond

A damn kicker. Do you have any idea in football from high school to pros how many games are determined by the kicker? And your words "damn kicker " implies unimportant or unworthy of paying. But you'd throw money at a pass rusher who might make 2 sacks. Lol
