Wanting to build a 10/22 or potentially buy the newish carbon fiber 10/22. Barrel is already threaded and it comes with a BX trigger.

What are yall thoughts? Is the $500 carbon fiber model worth it?

I'd say the weight, being so light, alone would be a huge plus and worth it if you're walking in the woods hunting.

It was worth it for me because it’s light as shite and I already have several of the mags because I have another 10/22 and like the platform. I’m using mine for plinking and varmit hunting once I finish it out.

The advertising on this fricking gun must be insane.

Feel like all the threads lately have been 10/22 carbon and suppressor threads

I don't think it's really advertising, it's just word of mouth at how stupid light these things are. I was shocked when I picked up one for the first time

I have a "decent" gun collection and I dont own a 10/22 or a 22 pistol for some reason. Id like to change that so Ive been researching and the Carbon Fiber has a ton of buzz around it. So yeah, the marketing got me.

Man I want to pick up another 10/22 for squirrel hunting does this come in the takedown version as well? Not a deal breaker though.

I honestly can’t remember how I saw mine. I didn’t even know they were a thing but had bass pro points burning a hole in my pocket and was looking at a Canik pistol. Then I spent a couple grand on suppressors and got cheap and didn’t want to come out of pocket $500 for the Canik smoke. Somehow I ended up on the carbon 10/22 because I didn’t have a threaded .22 rifle but did have a threaded pistol I ordered a can for. Ever since I bought mine I’ve seen them mentioned on here in multiple threads and post in the 2025 gun thread.

When I went to pick it up at bass pro everyone was looking at and playing with and a customer was like I just bought one you’re going to love it

Then I went to pick up my can and they had one on the wall and at least 4 people played with it while I was there.

PSA LINK

I just bought this one a couple weeks ago, looks good and is very lite. Waiting on my can to put on it, also still deciding on what optic to go with. Poor rabbits and coons aren't going to know what hit them when it's all done.

I want to put my thermal on mine and shoot rats off my feeders

Gonna sit in my hi rack on my jeep and bust their arse with a case of beer between my feet.

5.7 lbs isn’t what I’d call lightweight for a .22lr. I’m guessing that Magpul stock is a chunk.

That website is wrong. It’s 3.5 lbs.

After you get the 10/22 then get a Ruger Mark IV or a single six (or both). Then look at a Browning SA 22 rifle. It’s the best semi auto .22 ever made.

ETA: I have a Volquartsen carbon barrel and it’s stupid accurate though it has to be extremely clean to function because the chamber is tighter.
Another very good and light barrel is the Tactical Solutions xring. It’s just as accurate and still very light and functions flawlessly.

I bought my carbon 10/22 around 6 months ago. Haven’t shot it yet, will mount a Vortex Crossfire II on it and have an OCL Ti 22 can to put on it when it clears next year.

What is a good subsonic round to use and are there any issues using CCI Stingers unsuppressed with the Carbon?

Not trying to hijack the thread, but has anyone considered this over the 10/22?

I have a Bergera BXR 22 carbon. It's a tack driver with a carbon threaded barrel, nice trigger, and adjustable length of pull. It is a little more expensive than the Ruger, but I think it's worth it.

Anyone running a Summit Precision carbon fiber barrel? What length? What kind of accuracy?

We swapped out all of our spinner plates to the Spin Tech Spinners and that has eliminated them from climbing up on the timers, they know they aren't getting anything. No telling how much corn we were giving them every year. Now I need to pop them for eating and making a mess of the cotton seed we started putting out. They climb up and get it everywhere, we also a had new pig show up this week after popping 3 last weekend with thermals, its not looking good for him seeing next week
