Switzerland admits that its military is incapable of defending itself.

Switzerland cannot defend itself against a full-scale attack and must boost military spending given rising risks from Russia, the head of its armed forces said.
"What we cannot do is defend against threats from a distance or even a full-scale attack on our country," said Suessli, who is stepping down at the end of the year.
Switzerland has pledged to gradually raise defence spending to about 1% of GDP by around 2032, up from roughly 0.7% now – far below the 5% level agreed by NATO countries.
At that pace, the Swiss military would only be fully ready by around 2050.

That's too bad - it has continued to accelerate under this adminitsration, and will continue.
This administration has continued to funnel billions to Ukraine amongst others. The Big Beautiful Bill contained plenty of tax payer dollars to be sent overseas.

The Swiss Army is very low cost because it is a militia army. On a few professional trainers get paid. Almost all of its budget goes to arms and equipment.

Switzerland is not a member of NATO. Only a few European countries that aren’t now that Sweden and Finland joined; Ireland and Austria are the only other 2 one would think might be.

Yeah Switzerland is known as one of the countries that supposedly can't be invaded. Don't they have a program to blow bridges and shite if they're ever invaded? And a citizen militia?

Been there many times, trained there, lived near the border in Northern Italy .... and Switzerland has always played on the slippery slope of neutrality. Switzerland is a whore country when it comes to politics. They're two faced and diabolical.
Beautiful country though ... full of narcissistic blood suckers. A second home to the ultra wealthy and famous.
I've got some great memories there, in Geneva, Cortina, and Zermatt especially .... with my Dad decades ago.

Pretty much. The Swiss contingency plan in case of evasion is to blow bridges, etc. and retreat into the mountains and valleys and fight guerilla style. Everyone there has a rifle and is trained.
It would be impossible to take and hold Switzerland so nobody even tries. Hitler didn't even bother.
Plus, they're neutral and open to do business with anybody. So why invade them?
