Hey guys
I have a 24' aluminum bay boat that has developed a about a 6-in crack in the weld of the keel about a third of the way from the bow. Looking for suggestions of quality aluminum shops to work on aluminum hull repairs or alternately any shops to stay away from. Thanks in advance and my apologies if this is the wrong board to post.
Thanks, JR

Not wrong board JR
Production hull or custom? It really makes a difference since production hulls are typically thin Al.

my welded boat had a leak and I took it to a shop either in Morgan city or Henderson (I don’t remember) and they x rayed it and fixed it. Try one of the shops in that area there’s a few of them

Call Uncle J’s think he is east of BR and may do repairs. Those boats had issues with hull seam cracks if I’m membern correctly.

There's a guy north of Hammond that does incredible aluminum fab and repair work. Look up Walla-Walla Aluminum Welding on FB. Guy's name is Kevin

Uncle J, Jason Romero, is in Morgan City and he won't touch an express.
OP my cousin has that same boat, 24 Express, he sent it back to Express and they fixed it for free under the Hull Warranty. Those 24 Express are known for hull seam cracks.
