He gave up 45 to A&M at home and LSU blamed Kelley ... after he got his a$@ handed to him by Vanderbilt. Kiffin lookin' like an idiot early for retaining Baker, particularly at a premium price.

I look forward to next season if our offense is clicking on all cylinders and we're back to defending Baker like Aranda by saying "I mean the offense is too good, you can't expect the defense to be elite too!"

First off…Kelly. This man single handedly brought this team down. JD5 might have camouflaged him enough to get him this many seasons with LSU. Kelly kept telling us this is not the year, this is not the year this is not the year. Then he pushed all his chips to the center of the table last year. He said next season is the season. Next season is a playoff team. The school and fans have him that patience and this looked like his least prepared team. He now had his players and his coaches. But what seemed like a great victory at Clemson, was nothing to brag about by seasons end. The big games that mattered he was not winning. He wasn’t willing to make a change in offensive calls. And now it is officially over.

I don’t think anyone went in there confident of a win with so many players opting out, heading to the portal with an interim coach. But some of you out there act like none of that was happening. Penalties extending drives nonstop today. Missing key players on defense. Losing by three with a missed field goal earlier in the game. Losing the turnover battle and time of possession nearly doubled by Houston. This was a team with lack of focus and some bad calls by a big ten group of officials to add to it. I appreciate Wilson getting a flag thrown cause after that the calls slowed down. He fought for the team. But it was an uphill battle playing a team who was at home. Ready for next season can’t wait to see Kiffin next year with a full year to recruit. Remember this class was mainly guys who already verbally committed before Kiffin, he will attracted big names in the future.

Agreed. This is a different game if our opt outs don’t opt out. Houston had 0 opt outs.

You don’t think being without 6-7 starters had a little something to do with it?

LSU D did not give up 45. A punt return was a TD for A&M. The offense could not do anything with the TO gifted to them in 1st half. Then after the PR TD, the entire team quit on BK. The offense went into screen mode and had 3 and outs quickly. Defense was exhausted
