This rebuild will take time. Maybe not as long as OM, but it ain’t gonna happen overnight.

This team is almost void of SEC talent

They will be better in 26, than 25.
I’m not saying LSU is winning it all next year, but they will be more competitive.

Agreed, but the schedule is brutal so it may not show up in the win column

I watched the 1996 game highlights that someone posted earlier. The offensive talent on the field in 96 was head and shoulders above this team. It was striking.

Agreed. I believe they will actually be less talented than 2025, man for man, but they will be much better coached, and Lane will have them playing to their strengths.
They could still lose 5 games, but they will be competitive and not look lost

Here we go with this sh*t.

Bro LSU is not about to blow 25 mil per year on rosters thinking it will take Kiffin 2 or 3 seasons to get this program in the playoffs.

Oklahoma went from a 6-6 team to 10-2 playoff team playing the same schedule. There arent any excuses.

Elko went 11-1 in year 2.

Indiana is the #1 team in the country with a Heisman QB. 2023 they were 3-9

Kiffin better hit the ground running... and he seems like he has the balls to do so.

This will be the highest paid coaching staff in CFB and will likely be the highest paid roster. Its playoffs or bust.

Dumb. The lowest ranked team to beat the Tigers was 14th ranked Vanderbilt. There were one touchdown or less losses to the 6th, 8th and 14th teams, and an 11 point loss to #9 which was still a one score game late in the fourth quarter, all on the road. The only bad loss was to A&M in a game they led at the half until the roof caved in. The most important players on offense and defense were injured and missed several games or were limited by their injuries

It’s not like the old days with the new transfer portal. Indiana’s story should tell you everything you need to know. Even Brian Kelly took a team with 30 something returning scholarship players to the SEC championship game the next year.

Brah, OU didn’t have the schedule LSU has in 26.

Hope you’re correct

Kiffin had 56 new players at ole miss this season, over 30 from the portal. The 2024 was the same with over 30 players transferring in.

That’s pretty much rebuilding every year at Ole Miss.

Next year will be the same at LSU, the difference being our recruiting classes in addition to the portal are much more talented than the rebs.

NIL has afforded teams the ability to rebuild a competitive squad in a single recruiting/portal cycle. LSU is going to be alright.
