Have a nephew who has passed and was a baseball nut. He has all kinds of autographed baseballs, broken bats and cards we are going thru and looking for suggestions/advice on how to maybe sell or donate some of these.

Sorry to hear that.
Depends on how much work you want to do. You could go through the cards and give/sell each team to a fan of that team. Astros, Cubs, Braves, etc.
Most cards aren't worth selling.

I'd go visit cards and culture in perkins rowe. Nice folks. They'll be able to help.

Right now it is not a real good sellers market but it's great if you're a buyer. Cards have to be in great shape and you can start by looking at the corners and the spacing of the card. Some old cards are worth a lot even if they are in bad shape. You can go on ebay and type in the card and compare it to what has been SOLD to get a decent idea of the price to sell the item at. Do not look at what the card is SELLING FOR because that means nothing. What has IT SOLD FOR is what you are looking at. Good luck. Maybe take a few pics and post them on here?

Currently going thru 1 of 11 albums and have found several Jeter rookie prospect cards that are signed, as well as Johnny Damon, Jason Giambi, Aaron Boone cards that are signed.

AJ’s on Drusilla would be of help
Cards and culture is mostly new stuff
They don’t deal with old stuff

Download 130 point. It'll tell you most recent price for each card. It goes by ebay sales and every collector uses it. A show or bulk buyer should offer you 70 percent +/- of total price.
Don't let anyone fool you, low numbered recent cards are worth more than any memorabilia. Covid ran up the prices and they haven't come down. There are MANY cards that go for well over 1k

What does this mean.
I'll post some photos of items we've found. Apparently we have found an album that contains hockey and NBA cards......5 Gordie Howe autographed cards and 1 if then have Wayne Greztky in the photo with him.

Let me help:
I can provide you with some good advice, based on experience. It appears your nephew collected some valuable items.
I am in no way interested in buying the collection but just willing to provide some worthwhile ideas as a former serious collector.
If you have an interest, email me at qlg4@cox.net.
Either way, good luck.

I have a 1994 College World Series baseball autographed by Skip Bertman, Todd Walker and Russ Johnson.

Game used stuff like bats are up my alley, but value depends on player and if it’s signed. Same for balls and cards. If they have no COA, they won’t sell for as much, but seasoned collectors have a pretty good eye on things. Obviously, you’ll get more if you piece it out, but it will take longer.

AJs will be a big help. Fair and honest. I don't have much experience with the people at cards and culture but I can tell you they are twice as high as anyone else.

join reddit search for baseball card forums and start selling. they are usually pretty good to pay fair market value
sorry for your loss

Sell it as a set. Less to do for you. I would add up the marquee cards and take on an extra $100 or so and let the buyer sort through what they want to keep. I was big into cards until high school.
Literally asked my mom where they were so I could pass them onto my nephew. Sorry for your loss.
