There’s a big arse menorah on the White House lawn, but no nativity scene.

Sounds about right with our overlords.

Are you guys saying Trump can’t control what goes on the White House lawn?

Either he can control, which is bad. Or he can’t control, which is also bad.

Let’s point at another thing that predates Trump and blame Trump.
This is older than me.

There is an antique (17th century) nativity scene on display in the East Room.
As I recall, the menorah is not on the grounds, but on the Ellipse.
As an aside, why do menorahs have candles? Shouldn't they be oil lamps?

SCOTUS tied Christians’ hands with this.
fricking sick of the double standard and sick of them having so much sway over our country.
This is a Christian nation, period. Not a judeo Christian nation.

Trump's lost control of the WH lawn.

If he can’t control that, then maybe he isn’t the one doing all the “winning” you guys like to talk about?

I don’t blame Trump for this.

White House History
It's in the park across the street.
quote:
hroughout the history of the United States, all the nation’s presidents have been Christians. 1
In modern times, to celebrate the holidays, starting in early December the White House is decorated with brightly ornamented Christmas trees, garlands festooned over mantels and doorways, and the eighteenth-century crèche, a gift to the White House collection in 1967, gloriously displayed in the East Room. Choirs and musicians from around the country are invited by the president and first lady to perform Christmas carols during the three and a half weeks of holiday open houses, receptions, and dinners
quote:
In the past forty years, presidents have participated in Hanukkah celebrations to honor the eight-day Festival of Lights and support the local Jewish community. In 1979, President Jimmy Carter walked across Pennsylvania Avenue to Lafayette Park to light one candle in the 30-foot electric menorah displayed there.

Not a single person brought this shite up under Biden.

The irony of hating Jews on Christmas Day means you completely missed the message.

Maybe you don’t but no one brought this up until Trump.

Why does Biden's menorah have nine lights, rather than seven?

I heard about this and I am just devastated. I cannot believe Trump allowed this to happen. I just can't support a person or movement that allows something this terrible to happen. This is totally going to change my life while destroying it at the exact same time. I never thought that this devastating event would come but here it is and I might need to check myself into rehab to get through this awful and horrible event.
