I just posted the same thing in the other thread. The best one I’ve seen so far.

That’s insane timing on our part

This movie is going to be an absolute mess from a lighting standpoint, a sound standpoint, and an editing standpoint with an already dookie cast in half the roles but that won’t stop Nolan fanboys from cumming themselves in theaters.

I watched the teaser. I don't think its very good. Seems like a dark uninspiring mess.
Matt Damon? Good grief.

I wonder if the people complaining about historical accuracy understand that The Illiad and The Odyssey are works of fiction.

Where did OP mention historical accuracy?
It clearly is a post laughing at the costume design
Troy was also not historically accurate, as they used iron weapons and Achilles wore a version of the Corinthian helmet. Nobody wore the Dendra armor, either.

Not sure. Wasnt talking about OP.
But here’s an example of what I mean

Why are you working so hard to convince me of something that we already agree upon?

Neither is historically accurate. One looks cheap and gaudy, the other is 1963 Cleopatra.
Yeah that post shifts the focus from the historical accuracy to the shitty costume design. Is English your 2nd language?

Your incomprehensible attempt to insert muh Cyclops into this thread

I like the thought that it’s reminiscent of the vases from antiquity.
Reminded me a lot of this one I saw at the Art Institute as well:
I’m just not terribly hung up on it as it’s a movie and mythology. Reminds me of my fellow Jane Austen folks who complain about dress and hairstyles depicted from that period when in reality it’s almost never accurate on the big screen.

I don't think the criticisms are due to the color.
There are actually a lot of public-created art "fixing" the helmet and cuirass in the more traditional, Classical Greek style.
Those vases do not show cheekbones or shoulder padding like the Nolan version.
What is pretty badass is the linen armor they had through at least the Hellenistic period (Alexander and his armies used it)

I was supplying commentary on what I observed on twitter/ reddit discourse by saying “ I wonder if the people complaining…” not the OP himself

I literally have no idea why you are so heated about what I said
I’m minding my own business with a side comment about a general observation from around the internet and your screaming at me through a bull horn
