True, very true. Bukele did a great job of cleaning up his country, but he didn't have to contend with our Constitution.
The first and most productive step would be to somehow eliminate or hold accountable the Marxist Dems propaganda machine, the MSM.
I know that is a slippery slope, but legally holding MSM responsible for lying or spreading false narratives should be possible.

Within this context, the biggest issue is our federalism. The feds can only regulate the federal court system, which is tiny in terms of participants and population.
Your super blue states are going to have super blue judiciaries by default, with no real way for federal oversight to occur, and they are going to have 10-100x the population/impact as federal courts in terms of day to day stuff.
It's just stupid to try to attempt this as a selling point. The people who eat this up are ignorant to the differences in a place like El Salvador and the USA on multiple levels.

Nothing can change until the corrupt judges, DAs and AGs are prosecuted. Until then, the Marxists control all channels for justice and America will continue down the path of collapse.

It would affect a very limited portion of reporting, but not come close to the wholesale changes his posts desired.
Public officials are always going to be held to a different standard than ordinary citizens due to the political speech protected by the 1A. You may get a lower standard than "actual malice", but it won't be much lower.
And this reformation would only apply to comments directly about officials, not policies, opinions, etc.

That's basically the argument in times vs Sullivan which is bunk and whose overturning was my entire point.
The 1a protects you from the government , not an individual suing you in a civil case for defamation.

Easier to do in El Salvador. The ones who hold the power in America have already bought off the rogue judges and attorneys, and will go down swinging in flames before they see their grift upended.
I know what needs to be done, sure. But I just don't think it's possible without a brand new Congress and complete razing and overhaul of our agencies.

ABSOLUTELY !!!
This has been a nuisance for 3 or 4 decades, but they were pretty minimal in their techniques.
Most of the alphabet media we grew up with has now become nothing more than pure rotten propaganda for the democrat party. I grew up prior to TV, when newspapers were the primary mode for getting the 'news' - my mother told me "if they put it in print they have to tell the truth" - and that became my default response to all news media until it became hilariously obvious that they were sometimes flat out lying to me - but ALWAYs presenting 'one way to look at what just happened' that unfailingly presented the democrat 'side' of the event.
This became too obvious for any responsible adult to not notice after Obama became POTUS - and with the advent of Trump, they just went all in as abject propaganda.

You lie about an individual and the individual sues you privately , it has no power of the state behind it.
Time v Sullivan is just more unconstitutional trash. It undermines the right for individuals to seek redress in our courts.
